New Member Classes - From time to time, the pastor conducts information classes for newcomers interested in the Lutheran Church and St. Armands Key Lutheran Church in particular. The purpose of these classes is to get better acquainted, review basic Christian doctrine and our Lutheran heritage, and share information about the congregation and its various organizations and programs. Those desiring to be part of the group are asked to speak to Pastor Wogen (941) 388-1234. |
SAKLC receives new members by:
transfer from another Lutheran congregation |
affirmation of faith from another Christian denomination |
instruction in Christian doctrine |
Persons who
wish to transfer their membership may either contact their present congregation
themselves requesting a transfer letter, or ask our church office to do that
on their behalf. Both methods are appropriate. Persons who are not
presently Lutheran and wish to join are received by "affirming that the
teachings of the Lutheran Church are consistent with what they believe. Persons
interested should talk to the pastor.
